Emma Bunton, also known as Baby Spice, is a British singer, songwriter, media personality, and actress. She is a member of girl group Spice Girls, along with Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Melanie C, and Geri Halliwell.
Emma is the daughter of Pauline Elizabeth and Trevor Herbert Bunton. In an acceptance speech for an award the Spice Girls won in Ireland, she stated, “I am Irish, to all my family in County Wexford [Ireland]… my Granddad would be proud.”
Emma is married to musician and chef Jade Jones, with whom she has two children.
Emma’s patrilineal line can be traced back to her fifth great-grandfather, James Bunton.
Emma’s paternal grandfather was Arthur F. W. F. “Bunny” Bunton (the son of Alfred Herbert Bunton and Elizabeth Boutcher). Arthur was born in Barnet, North London. Alfred was a World War I veteran, and was the son of Thomas Henry Bunton and Jane Newman Cutts.
Emma’s paternal grandmother was Teresa L. Cheek (the daughter of William Ralph Cheek and Marjorie Gladys Tuvey). Teresa was born in Barnet, North London. William was the son of William Cheek and Dora Day. Marjorie was the daughter of Thomas Walter Tuvey and Agnes Maud Attfield.
Emma’s maternal grandfather was Séamus Davitt (the son of Thomas Davitt and Teresa Swords). Séamus was Irish, from County Wexford. Thomas was the son of Thomas Davitt. Teresa was the daughter of James Swords and Anne “Annie” Ryan.
