Kim Kardashian is an American reality star and business owner with an estimated net worth of $85 million. She was born on October 21, 1980 in Los Angeles to Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Kris was a stay-at-home mom as Kim grew up and Robert was a famous attorney, most famous for his work on the OJ Simpson trial. She has two sisters and a brother from her mother’s marriage to Robert Kardashian and two half-sisters from her mother’s second marriage to Olympic Gold medalist Bruce Jenner. She was made famous through her friendship with Paris Hilton many years ago, but a sex tape of her and pop singer Brandy’s brother Ray J released in 2003 made her an instant celebrity.

Her mother capitalized on that by getting the family their own reality show. Kim Kardashian’s parents divorced in 1991 and her mother remarried in the same year. Her mom and step dad divorced recently and her stepfather now goes by the name Caitlyn Jenner and is living life as a woman. Her mother is her manager and her entire family has their own reality show, several spinoffs, modeling careers and fashion careers of their own. Kim really rose to fame after the release of her sex tape, and she was then given a show. That show turned into modeling jobs, endorsements and collaborations with her sisters in different businesses.

Over the course of the past decade, she has been married and divorced in a record 72 days. She was married once before at the age of 19, but that did not work out. Before her second divorce was finalized, she was pregnant by rapper Kanye West, whom she later married in a lavish ceremony after they welcomed their daughter, North. They also welcomed a little boy, Saint, in 2015. She is in the news constantly for her own fame, the fame of her family and the fame of her husband. He is quite controversial, but Kim is good about staying out of his drama and his issues, and she keeps to herself.

Most of her money comes from her endorsements and her business ventures. She created an app and a video game in recent years that earned her more than half of her net worth, and she has several different clothing lines, makeup brands and even endorsements with several ventures that pay her millions every year.
