Raffey took acting lessons at David Johnson Drama in Manchester.
Acting came naturally to Raffey as she was raised in a family involved in the entertainment business.
She fell in love with film for the first time with Hanna (2011) starring Saoirse Ronan.
Raffey got her first break as an actor after accompanying her brother Mossie to an audition for a role on a BBC drama where she also fit a description of a girl who was needed to be part of the cast.
She made her debut TV show appearance as Nora in 32 Brinkburn Street in 2011. Later, in 2012, Cassidy was cast in her first film Dark Shadows as Young Angélique Bouchard.
Raffey was cast as the lead character of Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman in 2012.
Her film and television credits include Tomorrowland, Allied, The Other Lamb, The Silence of Mercy, White Noise, and Stepping Up.
Raffey was named to Screen International magazine’s “Stars of Tomorrow” list in 2013. This made her the youngest actor ever to be featured on the annual list at that time.
